Back for Now

Sorry, people. I did, in fact, fall off the face of the earth and have just clawed my way home. Unfortunately, I haven’t been lounging my life away (although if anyone knows where I can apply for THAT job, do tell…). My absence included all of the following: the arrival of my soon-to-be ex in-laws who are temporarily residing in my home, a road trip to Boise, approximately 52 hours of intoxicating family time, three emotional and pseudo psycho outbursts directed at the soon-to-be ex Hub, a broken water heater, and the creation of an underground blog that may have saved my life. Phew.

I’m better now.

More on all that later…

Immense hugs! The in-laws are staying with you? Awkward. Hang in there. I'm thinking of you.

Sounds like you have had such a full plate. And the soon to be ex-in-laws staying with you, that must be awkward! I think I need to get myself an underground blog too. My blog is mostly happy and squishy, but I definitely have gritty, raw feelings about certain things and I would love a place to get them off my chest.(disclaimer: my grittiness is not directed at my spouse or children. Just wanted to make sure everyone who reads this comment and also reads my blog doesn't think I am a fake.)

Gustogirl, I would never think you're a fake. It's hard to be completely open in a public blog that people have access to. Someone might get their feelings hurt and, I don't know about you, but it's healthy for me to write through some of those gritty, raw feelings in order to reach a healthier place. Mine is completely anonymous, and it helped me through a really rough spot last week...

Well, that all certainly sounds like fun. Divorce sucks. In case you didn't know....

I'm glad you found a way to vent, though!

I too have thought have thought about the anonymous blog thing. I don't think that it takes away from the real blog or makes anyone seem fake. Sometimes I would like to vent about certain people who read or could possibly be hurt by my venting on my regular blog.

I have toyed with the idea of an underground blog several times. In fact, I set one up (my Blogger one) but never posted anything on it except redirects to my real blog. (yeah, kinda defeats the "anonymous" part, huh?)
I need a vent blog mostly for my MIL who has driven me to zoloft and very close to the edge on more than one occasion!
btw, just in case anyone knows who I am here, I'm speaking of my real MIL, not my step-MIL who is an awesome person! :)

Good for you for for getting that writing outlet. You need it! And please, if I had a dollar for every pseudo-psycho outburst...and if I had $3 for the real ones!

Hang in there, girlfriend!

So glad to hear from you! The in-laws staying with you has got to be tough, even if you were close (and I don't know if you were).Sounds like a very stressful time for you, sending love and positive light your way.
I know what you mean about an undergound blog. Although, that is what I am suppose to be, it started that way originally, it did not end up that way. But I by no means think you are fake. Totally get it. Here if you need me. Just want you to know.
