I know I wrote about Kaleb being loving and defiant, but I should mention that he has lots of other great qualities I treasure. One especially is his persistence, a trait that didn’t come through my DNA strain. I’ve learned a lot just watching him.
For example, he taught himself how to ride a bike that’s bigger than what you’d find most seven-year olds riding simply because he believed me when I said, “You’ll get it if you practice long enough.” He’s done the same with swimming, basketball, reading, chess and, yes, video games. The kid keeps pluggin’ away until he gets it.
Well, he’s done it again. This week he’s been practicing and practicing and practicing. And just today he got it. That’s right, folks, Kaleb has mastered the armpit fart.
*sniff* It does a mama proud.

Of everything he has mastered, that is, of course, the most important to a growing boy! Haha!

I ALWAYS wished I knew how to do that when I was younger. I guess that persistence wasn't a quality of mine
Wow! How impressive...I remembered mastering it in about 2nd grade! I couldn't understand why my parents weren't as impressed.
Not long ago, I impressed my daughter to no end with my skill in this area.
My boys are always so proud when they can make a new sound lol!
ahhh, my friend with boys was mentiong when her youngest mastered burping...i have 2 girls so hopefully we won't have all that. i am adding you to my blogroll...
If you could have your son detail a step by step "how to" on the armpit fart I could print it out and give it to Crusher in a few years!
Way to go, little guy!
My minivan, It's funny you mentioned that because I had to coach my son a bit (even though I can't do the trick myself), "Cup your hand over your armpit, cause it needs air to make that sound..."
I promise--I teach my kids good things too... :)
I do love me a great fart.
